Fabrique des Lumières, NETHERLANDS

LONG PROGRAM: "From Vermeer to Van Gogh, the Dutch masters"

This immersive exhibition takes you back to the 17th-century, the golden age of Dutch painters such as Vermeer and Rembrandt capturing the Dutch society with rough seas, scenes of faith and enchanting winter landscapes. In total, more than 325 artworks by some 50 different painters can be admired. Explore the reality of daily life, following the footsteps of the great masters who represented the ordinary in an extraordinary way. Set sail and berth your boats in the cities.

SHORT PROGRAM: "Mondrian, an abundance of colours"

‘Nature moves me profoundly. Only I paint it in a different manner.’ Piet Mondrian

This immersive experience follows the artistic evolution of Mondriaan, who freed himself from the restraints of traditional painting to pioneer a more visionary style: neoplasticism. Mondriaan’s iconic grids of primary colours have inspired artists from all over the world and shaped pop culture. Mirroring his life as a whole, his art was permeated by the upheavals at the beginning of the twentieth century: the change from candlelight to fluorescent lighting; from Calvinist austerity to the emergence of a modern rhythmic music called jazz; and from the linear Dutch landscapes to the dizzyingly high skyscrapers in Manhattan

CONTEMPORARY CREATION: "Infinite Horizons"

Infinite Horizons is an artistic journey through a multitude of vistas that defy the rules of perspective. You are projected through a singular vision that leads into a world of abstraction in an endless landscape. There, the perception of each instant propels our imagination toward strange new horizons and seemingly limitless, uncharted lands. The concept is based on the notion of a horizon of events. From a real horizon to a horizon of events generated by a black hole, other horizons and alternative realities appear. Like the creation of a raw material, you emerge from the centre of a planet, through its many layers and material diversity. As we ascend, we discover a vast landscape. An infinite horizon gradually emerges before our eyes.
